Birth re-experiencing therapy (regression therapy)

One form of regression therapy is birth re-experiencing. 
This is a healing journey through the past and present. Hypnotherapy is used during birth re-experiencing.

I will guide you into a light trance, during which you will remain in complete control. You will not be hypnotized, as you see in movies. When your mind is in a trance state, it is easier to connect with your subconscious. 
Your subconscious has all the answers, allowing you to understand certain feelings and complaints and let them go or transform them. 

Letting go of the past within you

Regression therapy is not only about reliving past events, recovering lost memories, and processing unresolved experiences, but also about processing current burdens that you still carry in your body. 
Regression is about connecting with the past that is still within you, with the aim of letting go of it and freeing and healing yourself. 

Core beliefs

Your first beliefs are formed in the womb and during infancy. 
What you feel as a baby is purely sensory, emotional, and physical. At that stage, you cannot yet distinguish between what belongs to your parents and what belongs to you. 
You feel everythingyour parents experience, whether pleasant or unpleasant. For example, if one of your parents is regularly anxious, sad, or feels inferior during pregnancy or your early years, you cannot yet conceive that these feelings are not your own. 
However, your body forgets nothing and stores all this information. Later, this gives rise to thoughts and beliefs that can hinder you. 

Purpose of birth re-experiencing therapy

  • Gaining insight into the circumstances surrounding birth and thus into the possible causes of problems related to the 
    first phase of life. 
  • Releasing any emotional baggage surrounding birth. 
  • Increasing inner strength and regaining a sense of purpose. 
  • Healing themes and patterns that originated in infancy. 

How does it work?

  • In a light trance, you will observe from a distance the moments in your life when your core belief came into play, 
    from the moment you were conceived until now. For example, the belief: “I am unsafe.” 
  • Then you will go back to your experiences in the womb. 
  • You will welcome yourself as a child into this world. 
  • You take yourself as a baby and go through the most—for example—“unsafe”—experiences in your life to understand why you started thinking that way about yourself at those moments and why 
    that was a mistake. 
  • You will see your core beliefs in a different light.
