About me
Welcome, I am Ilse Westerhoff, passionate owner of Ilse Healing practice in Beverwijk, married, mother of a lovely daughter, and caregiver to our cats. What I love to do is walk. I love nature, especially trees. I feel a deep connection with them. Nature and the natural flow of “everything is movement and cyclical” are a common thread in everything I do. You can read more about me, my mission, my practice, and my approach below.
About my mission
I started my practice to help people move toward a healthier and happier life in a natural way. In recent years, I have also felt a calling, a ‘necessity’, to guide people through complicated situations that others would rather avoid. These include complex divorces, parental rejection, destructive relationships (narcissistic partners,
complicated family ties, difficult relationships with children, etc.) and suicidal tendencies. I have personal experience with these issues. I am happy to pass on my knowledge and experience (how to deal with it, how to bear it, and how to free yourself from it).
Fortunately, we are so much stronger and more resilient than we think. I will help you to remember this.
About my Practice Ilse Healing
As a holistic coach, psychosocial therapist, Bach flower therapist, and expert in the field of complex relationships and suicidal tendencies, I work with various methods and techniques. These include psychosocial therapy (parts work, shadow work, regression therapy, and inner child work), letting go of destructive relationships (complex divorce, parental rejection, and narcissism), suicide prevention,
guidance with suicidal tendencies and grief counseling in the event of suicide, closure with deceased loved ones, Bach flower therapy, healing and the Wielwerk method.
I use my expertise in the field of narcissistic abuse, complex divorce, and as a loved one of someone with suicidal tendencies to raise awareness—both individually and socially—about the impact on victims/loved ones and what is needed to recover. Recognition and acknowledgment are essential in this process.
From notary and lawyer offices to healing
For more than twenty years, I enjoyed working at notary and lawyer offices. In addition to my office job, I attended energy workshops and was trained as a Bach flower therapist. I developed a desire to truly connect with people in my work and support them in a natural way. In 2017, I started my practice for natural healing methods. I have since expanded my services. In 2024 I completed my thesis research for my training as a psychosocial therapist on the healing effects of end-of-life doula support, which I want to do more of in the future.
I have integrated my knowledge from training courses, personal experiences, and work experiences into a personal, holistic, and psychosocial way of working. I work with various techniques and methods that I use intuitively. I combine techniques from psychosocial therapy, chakra psychology, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), energy work, body-oriented work, Bach flower therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), RET (rational emotive therapy), meditation, hypnotherapy, and kinesiology, among others.
About my approach
My approach is loving, gentle, safe, honest, and professional. I give you the space to be who you are. The most important thing is that you feel safe with me. Everything else comes after that.
I listen to you and tune into your energy. In doing so, I follow the rhythm of the natural flow. Where do you get stuck, do you go against the flow, and why? What do you find difficult and what hinders you? What can you let go of and what do you need? So that your energy can flow again. Everything is already within you;
you just need to access it. I bring you back to yourself, to your strength. You are much more powerful than you think.
I guide you lovingly, so that you remain steadfast, even when things get more challenging.
And I help you to gain insights about yourself and/or your loved ones, so that there is more peace and acceptance.
Everything is focused on your self-healing ability. I stand next to you, because you know best what is good for you.
It may be that you no longer know this due to the situation you are (temporarily) in. I help you to remember this again.
By looking inward and working on yourself, in a loving way, without judgment, you can heal yourself and experience more balance and resilience.
