Bach Flower Therapy
Bach flowers are natural extracts made from trees, flowers, and plants. These liquid plant extracts are used in Bach flower therapy as a remedy or treatment for all kinds of complaints and ailments.
Development of Bach Flower Remedies by Dr. Edward Bach
By chance, English physician Edward Bach came into contact with homeopathy, a form of medicine based on the principle that the individual and their personality are the most important factors for healing. He researched this for quite some time and also investigated the influence of bacteria on chronic diseases. Bach observed that there was a clear relationship between different personality types and disease patterns, regardless of the physical symptoms exhibited by a patient.
Because Bach was also active as a bacteriologisch, he was able to study the effects of medicines on patients for some time. Although he was dissatisfied with the effects of most medicines, his knowledge of people and the psyche increased.
Dr. Bach was convinced that a person’s mental and emotional state can lead to ailments. He discovered that blossoms from various flowers, plants, and trees can have a supportive effect on a person’s state of mind. The blossoms do not suppress negative thoughts or emotions, but transform them into positive ones. Each remedy works on a specific emotion.
The ailment is not the most important thing, but rather the mental and emotional state of a person. Two people with the same ailment may each benefit from different remedies. Homeopathic remedies were prescribed based on the personality and mental state of the patient, as well as the physical symptoms of his or her illness.
Dr. Bach had his own practice in London. After becoming seriously ill himself, he discovered that he intuitively knew what medicinal properties plants possessed and what ailments they could cure. He devoted the last years of his life entirely to discovering and recording the 38 different Bach Flower Remedies and the specific emotions they affect.
Composition of Bach flower remedies
Bach flower remedies are made from plant substances. First, the alcohol must be absorbed into the substance to extract the active ingredients. The result is called the “mother tincture.” This solution is then diluted dozens or hundreds of times, and after each dilution, it must be shaken vigorously. Shaking transfers energy to the mixture, increasing its therapeutic power. The remedies therefore become more powerful with each dilution, resulting in a minimal amount of the original substance, but with an extremely high energy content. There is no scientific explanation for why dilution makes the remedy more powerful, but scientific experiments have demonstrated the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment.
Medical history and treatment
Many people experience anxiety, insecurity, emotional withdrawal, loneliness, excessive worry, despondency or despair, and hypersensitivity to their environment. It can be difficult to cope with these issues, and some people even struggle to the point of collapse or continue to wrestle with them.
These can be underlying causes of ailments or problems that manifest themselves physically or through psychological complaints.
Bach Flower Remedies are part of a holistic treatment, which means that the whole person is treated and not just the symptoms of the ailment.
If you choose to let Bach Flower Remedies support you with your ailments or problems, I would like to help you with this. I believe personal advice is very important in this regard. To get a good picture of you, I will take your medical history. Based on this, I will draw up a treatment plan and discuss it with you. I can then put together a mix of Bach Flower Remedies for you and determine a dosage. You will then take a few drops of the remedy or remedies on your tongue several times a day. Depending on the ailment, it will take a few days or weeks before the first results are noticeable.
If you like, I can also give you some affirmations to go along with the Bach Flower Remedies. These are positive statements that you read to yourself every day to remind yourself where your focus and strength lie.
Bach Flower Therapy: safe for adults, children, and animals
Bach flower extracts are completely natural and safe and can be used by adults, children (even babies), and animals. There are no side effects, no risk of overdose, and the remedies are not addictive. They also do not interfere with the effectiveness of other medications.
Child consultation
During consultations with children, I also use Bach flower cards. Young children in particular are not yet able to express what they are feeling or what they are struggling with. In addition to the information provided by parents and children, drawing a Bach flower card can be a useful addition. The cards that a child draws intuitively are a good guide to which Bach flowers he or she needs.
Online consultation
For an online consultation, please fill in the medical history form. I will then contact you to arrange an online consultation. After receiving your payment, you will receive two bottles of Bach flower remedies, personally tailored to your needs. One bottle lasts about three weeks. An evaluation will follow after 6 weeks. I would like to hear from you about how the Bach flower remedies are working for you, and we will see if any adjustments to the composition are necessary. In the meantime, you can always contact me if you have any questions about, for example, the use or effectiveness of the remedies.
